About Us

Artist Statement

My art is the instrument that enables me to understand myself and the world around me. It is through the process of creation that I interpret and give meaning to the facts that affect my life and the lives of others.

I try to find connections, to establish communications between the materials and myself, between the concept and the materials, between forms and textures, between my tools and the environment

I try to connect in a respectful and mindful way with my surroundings and the natural world.

I explore the interactions between humans and nature. I do this by using natural materials and found objects, often working in the outdoors and at all times trying to minimize the transformation of these materials during the creative process.

The opposites that rule our lives are often portrayed in my work like life and death, growth and decay, good and bad, or one and many.

I engage actively in social discourse by reducing my carbon footprint to a minimum. My sculptures are a statement of that principle; most of them are made using recycled, found, or discarded resources.
